My First Guitar Blog

Hello friends. My name is Anthony Iglesias and I have been performing and teaching guitar for the majority of my life. I am now accepting guitar students for private lessons in the Syracuse NY area as well as Skype lessons. Contact me at anthonyiglesiasguitar@gmail.com

About me:
Hailing from Yonkers & The Bronx New York, I have been playing guitar for most of my life. In 1992, I moved upstate to Rochester New York, where I became a member of the internationally acclaimed band New Religion, releasing two albums and performing countless venues over its 6 year tenure. In 1998, I focused my career on teaching guitar, while also lending a hand to fellow musicians in need of a unique guitar sound. During that time, I laid down guitar tracks for several recording artists, including Richard IV, Krista Robusto and Foot Stool. It was as a teacher that I discovered my love of the Dave Matthews Band sound. In 2000, I retired from over fifteen-years of teaching guitar and moved to Syracuse, New York - which is now my current home base. In Syracuse, I teamed up with Dean Keller, Joe Davoli and Chris Cornish to form One Sweet World, a tribute to the Dave Matthews Band and performed thousands of shows for 11 years. On March 26, 2007 I released my very first guitar instructional video on my YouTube channel where I focused on teaching Dave Matthews songs and on occasion songs from other artists as well as technique and music theory. My most recent projects were playing guitar on the Joe Davoli CD Game Plan as well as being asked to play guitar and sing on the HOT new CD Sugar&Steel  by Bridgid Bibbens.
